About KID KIT

As a mum I love being prepared, especially knowing something could happen any minute and you want to make sure your loved ones feel safe and prepared. 

I was looking through some emergency and survival websites and realised there was very little out there specifically for kids, and the ones you could get were either not great or just looked intimidating as they weren’t kid focused.

My kids can be very anxious about things and the last thing I wanted was to make them feel more anxious by giving them an emergency pack that felt like surviving a natural disaster was the end of the world.

Kids need to be prepared but also comforted and they need things to distract them. 

So I decided to do it myself. 

I spoke to people who had been in situations like the Christchurch earthquake, with their children stuck at school and I gathered ideas.

My kids were very excited about it and together we created KID KIT.
